What the Hell?

Apparently winter decided to come early this year. We went straight from bitching about the heat to shoveling snow. I am not amused.
This is my woodpile. This is how I heat my house.

It’s not that I was totally unprepared. I live in Wyoming, I know what happens October through June. I have my wood, I have new tires on my cars, I have blankets in both vehicles. I am ready for winter. Sort of.

What I didn’t have, however, was pants. Somehow I lost my pants last March when I went on vacation and it didn’t occur to me until yesterday when I was frantically tearing through all my piles of clothes that I never replaced my lost pants. Why would I? It has been shorts weather until…well…yesterday. I had to wear shorts to work last night and every single one of my tables commented on it. I told every single one of them the truth: I lost my pants. I netted around 25% of my sales last night and I’m happy to report I have pants.

I’m going to need them since the restaurant is freezing. All those people (including me) who bitched about how hot the restaurant was need to come back now. We won’t actually have heat until sometime in January (maybe). People were eating with their coats on and complaining loudly. People were pissed because their fall vacation to Yellowstone was suddenly cancelled by God. So far, the only beings to enjoy this weather are my dogs.

I’m pretty certain the spider who spend the time making this beautiful web is not impressed with the snow.

Mother Nature is a bitch.

Wow. I was reading another blogger, in Canada, who says she'll have snow by the end of the week up in BC, but YOWZERS. Already?!? This doesn't bode well.

    Not well at all.

Hoo-ee, that's some cold! I'm glad the spider's dead though. It's 56 and sunny here in Chicagoland right now, and I shudder when I see your pics, because I know our turn is coming soon.

I am glad you got pants though – that would have been a tad cold there, heheheh.

Ahh, but that web was beautiful. Look at the perfect craftmanship. I'll bet she stayed up all night making it only to freeze to death the next day.

It is supposed to snow here for several days. I think we are in for a long, cold winter.
