Three years ago on Sunday I started working at the restaurant. I mentioned to Darren that I wanted a party with an ice cream cake. I didn’t work on Sunday and we were really busy tonight so I really forgot about it. When we finished all the closing work, Shannon told me I was needed in the waitstation.
The entire night crew was there to wish me a Happy Anniversary. I got all teary eyed. Then I saw the cake and the card and I cried like a little girl.
I think my favourite comment was from Boy Cook Zach: It’s a pleasure working with you Glory! Go Fuck yourself!!!
Other people expressed their surprise that I made it this long without losing my mind. No one mentioned they were surprised that I hadn’t killed someone yet.
It was a nice party and I’m very thankful to Darren for making this anniversary a fun one.
